 Students G%&G6 are working on a collaborative board game with their Eramus+ partners from " SDGs Action!".

The game is called: " visible Actions for invisible waste" and it is an interactive board game with questions, rewards, sanctions and actions related to Invisible Waste, the topic of EWWR '20.

EWWR EUROPEAN SPECIAL PRIZE for the project " EWWR Sustainable Art Alphabet"

Sant Josepschool, Navàs wins the EWWR European Special Prize

Europe awards Sant Josep school, Navàs, Catalonia for the cooperation work among schools from six different countries for the creation of an “EWWR sustainable Art Alphabet” which fosters sustainability and waste reduction in a creative and cultural way.

Schools from Catalonia, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Greece and Finland have been involved in the project which is a little part of an eTwinning one called “ We are art”

EWWR Sustainable Art alphabet is an interactive ebook of a creative alphabet made of artistic letters and meaningful messages to foster waste reduction. The main goal of this action was to involve art, sustainability and literacy and then spread the message all across Europe.

Students and teacher from all the participant countries worked in a cooperative way and this helped to spread the project though the whole school communities. Moreover as it is part of an eTwinning project, it has also been disseminated all around Europe.

The EWWR is organizing an annual Awards Ceremony and recognizes the outstanding actions to prevent and reduce waste that take place across Europe during the year.

The event was held at the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels 15th May, and the ceremony was opened by :

-       DG environment European commission, Mr. Daniel Calleja

-       ACR+ President and CEO of Zero Waste Scotland, Mr. Iain Gulland

-       European committee of the Regions, Mr. André van de Nadort

EWWR Sustainable Art alphabet in the shortlist of European Special Prize 2018!

GREAT NEWS!!!!

Our EWWR Sustainable Art alphabet " has been shortlisted as one of three finalists for an EWWR Award 2018 in the category European Special Prize. Congratulations! The level of competition was very high and only the actions judged to be the most impactful and long lasting were nominated for an award. We are among a select group of only 16 finalists out of 14,437 actions!"
We have been invited to join for the EWWR Awards Ceremony, which will take place at the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels on May 15.

Un projecte del Col·legi Sant Josep de Navàs escollit candidat al IX Premi Europeu de la Prevenció de Residus

Dear friends,
We are glad to announce you that our project "URRRGENT! Europe's knocking at the door" has been selected as a candidate for the European prize.
Last Wednesday 24th January the Regional TV Canal Taronja came to school to interview the pupils and the teacher.

This is their report:

L’Agència de Residus de Catalunya ha presentat sis projectes catalans al IX Premi Europeu de la Prevenció de Residus, que es donarà a conèixer en una cerimònia a finals de maig a Brussel·les.
Entre els candidats seleccionats hi ha el projecte dels alumnes de 5è de primària col·legi Sant Josep de Navàs que competeix en l’apartat Cooperació entre regions i que es titula “URRRGENT! Europe’s knocking at the door.” L’Agència l’ha seleccionat tenint en compte la relació de les activitats amb els eixos de la Setmana Europea de la Prevenció de Residus, celebrada el novembre passat, l’originalitat de la proposta, i el seu caràcter innovador. Des del centre navassenc estant satisfets de seguir participant en projectes europeus
El treball seleccionat es basa a donar nova vida a objectes utilitzats, des d’ampolles convertides en dispensadors de bosses de plàstic o el programa de malbaratament d’aliments on es va presentar la reutilització del pa sec a través de la sopa d’all.
Els alumnes tenen 10 anys, es relacionen amb altres alumnes de centres europeus i comparteixen projectes sobre les tres erres, reduir, reutilitzar i reciclar. Diversos alumnes explicaven el que havien fet i les seves experiències.
És un projecte eTwinning entre el col·legi sant Josep de Navàs i l’escola grega 1st Experimental Primary School d’Alexandroupoli. Les escoles han compartit propostes per treballar el concepte “donem-li una nova vida”.

NO FOOD WASTE: the garlic soup

Col·legi Sant josep is taking part of the European Week of Waste Reduction and at the same time collaborating with some schools from Scotland that are working on NO FOOD WASTE.

Here is the video we prepared for them about one of our traditional Catalan soups: Garlic soup.
An excellent way of eating that bread that became dry and hard and uneatable.

EUROPEAN WEEK OF WASTE REDUCTION: Give it a new life!

These are all the incredible designs our classmates from grade 5 and our Greek partners invented to give a new life to those objects and material which are useless for us.

We take part in the EWWR campaign , and this is the result of our Action:
