2 NATIONAL ETWINNING QUALITY LABELS, school year 2023-24

 We are happy to announce that we get awarded by two National Quality labels for the eTwinning projects:

Grade 5: 21/ 25 points

Grade 6: eTwinning and Erasmus+ 24/25 points

 We are so happy to announce that the two eTwinning projects we did last year in Grade 5 and Grade 6 got an high score award !

Congratulations to all the participants and thank you to all the european partners who worked with us: Ireland, Germany , Txec Republic and Portugal.

Here is the video that 6th graders have prepared to send to their European partners becasue they are so excited waiting for them.

"WAT@RT" Erasmus+ project has a LOGO!!!

 

After a long and busy process "Wat@rt" has its own logo.

It is so beautiful and it has been designed according to the instructions given by the three partner countries:

- Blue and white

- Containing the word "water" in the 3 languages: irish, Catalan and Portuguese

- designed in Canva

The first steps were given in an online meeting , then students started their designs during the celebration of Erasmus Days, after that the 3 finalists of each school were voted by partners from Grade 5 and finally here it is.

OUR FIRST ERASMUS MOBILITY IN PORTIMAO, PORTUGAL " Wat@rt" project

DAY 1:

Our first day in Portugal with our Erasmus+ project “Wat@rt”.

Exciting moments flying by plane, meeting our European partners from Ireland, discovering the beauty of the seaside in Alvor and enjoying the day with our friends and teachers. Waiting for tomorrow new experiences!

DAY 2:

A new day enjoying Algarve with our Irish and Portuguese partners.
Our #erasmus+ project “wat@rt” has taken off with a long beautiful walk around the cliffs and the seaside enjoying its wildlife nature.
We visited one of the most important and traditional sardine factories in Portugal.

DAY 3:

Canoeing, picking up garbage and photo contest today in Algarve with our European partners from Ireland  and Portugal .
We are learning about the dangers and the tragedy of plastics in the ocean. We created beautiful works of art with some pieces of plastic, ropes and other material.
Our #erasmus project “Wat@rt” is becoming really fruitful and joyful.
We are improving our partnership, our English skills and our learnings about the #sdgs and #climatechange

DAY 4:

Another fantastic day in Algarve to remember! Today in Bemposta school we kept working on our project #wat@rt doing experiments with water and performing “Sounds of water” and dancing workshop. Then, we had a cultural dinner with families from Portugal sharing and trying their typical dishes. What an exciting experince we are living thanks to @erasmus+ 

DAY 5:

And last but not least surfing in Praia da Rocha has been the final great activity of our #erasmus week in Portugal  with our friends of Ireland .
We also visited Lagos in the afternoon, a wonderful town by the sea with a fortress and crowdy tourist streets. We bought some souvenirs for our families and ate a delicious ice cream together to celebrate the last day of this amazing adventure. #growingineurope #etwinning_es #sportytime #lagos #culturalvisit 

CELEBRATING ERASMUS DAYS AT SANT JOSEP SCHOOL!

 Erasmus Days '23 event at Sant Josep school.

We spent the afternoon together: students, teachers and families working on activities about our Erasmus+ and eTwinning project called " Wat@rt".

Each team had 20 minutes to work on each station.

There were 4 different stations:

- Find the Wat@rt memory game hidden around the school. Follow the map instructions , find the pieces and finally, play the game

- Design the collaborative logo with Canva

- Create a collaborative watercolour mural " the ways of water"

- Write the paper chain messages after reading a pair of texts and watching a pair of videos.

We have learned about the importance to save water, we worked together , we developed our creativity and critical thinking skills, and learned about orientation skills , we became more open minded and most of all, we enjoyed it a lot!

WAT@RT, our new Erasmus + project 20'3-24

 Today we discovered our project with a funny experiment!

- We had some envelopes with a quote inside.

Once we have written all the quotes and shared theri meaning, the teachers gave us a candle and ...

MAGIC!!! a hidden letter appeared in the message between the words of the quote.

And now we know that our project will be about WATER and about ART!!

We are so excited to start working together with our European partners from Portugal and Ireland.
